Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Krowd. By creating an account, buying a ticket, or listing an event, you agree to them.

1. What Krowd Is

Krowd is a platform that connects event hosts with people who want to attend their events. We provide the tools to list events, sell tickets, and manage entry. We are not the organiser of the events listed on the platform, and we are not a party to the contract between a host and a buyer, except where stated otherwise.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must be 18 or older to create an account, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Buying Tickets

When you buy a ticket through Krowd, you are entering into an agreement with the event host. Each ticket includes a unique digital code (QR code) used for entry. You are responsible for keeping your ticket and code secure. A ticket used for entry cannot be used again.

Prices shown include any service fees unless stated otherwise. All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only given if:

  • The event is cancelled by the host and not rescheduled
  • The event is cancelled by Krowd for policy reasons
  • South African consumer protection law requires it

If an event is postponed, your ticket remains valid for the new date unless the host offers a refund.

4. Hosting Events

If you list an event on Krowd, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to hold the event and sell tickets to it
  • The information you provide about the event is accurate
  • You will honour every valid ticket sold through the platform
  • You are responsible for the event itself, including safety, venue arrangements, and compliance with local laws and licensing requirements

Krowd may charge a service fee on ticket sales, deducted before payout. Payouts are made to the bank details you provide, on the schedule shown in your dashboard.

5. Event Cancellations

If you cancel an event as a host, you must notify Krowd and your ticket holders as soon as possible. Refunds for a cancelled event are your responsibility as the host, processed through the platform where possible.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Krowd to:

  • List fraudulent, illegal, or misleading events
  • Resell tickets above face value where this breaches an event's stated resale policy
  • Attempt to duplicate, forge, or tamper with tickets or QR codes
  • Interfere with the platform's security or normal operation

We may suspend or remove any account that breaches these terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Krowd provides the platform connecting hosts and buyers. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of hosts or attendees, the quality or safety of an event, or losses arising from an event being cancelled, postponed, or changed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Krowd after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
